This is Geoff's house from the pond. You can't see them, but the pond has large-mouth bass, bluegill and two types of catfish. There are also otters in the pond.
Here is a better picture of the ranch house. The ranch has a big apple orchard, two horses, a few barns, two dogs and several cats. We used to have geese, but the foxes and otters got them.
The town closest to the ranch is Alderpoint, which has maybe 75 people and a store with a gas pump. Alderpoint is 21 miles Northeast of Garberville. The Main Fork of the Eel River runs along side of the town. Lots of people canoe from Alderpoint to Fort Seward in the summer. The best swimming hole on the river is at Alderpoint.
